Hi suf, I think it's a devils toenail but its shell is being converted to beekite. The carbonate shell is being replaced by concentric rings of microcrystalline silica (chalcedony)....A very nice example....
Yes, it doesn't show up on
here very often but it's pretty obvious when you see it, had to scratch
my head to remember the name of the damn stuff. Here's a Jurassic oyster
I came across on the Glamorgan coast....very similar pattern to
yours....
Amazing! and fascinating! I've been down another rabbit hole on the internet all about Chalcedonized fossils!
1
more question: We rinsed a bit of mud off the fossil after we found it,
but i was reluctant to give it a proper scrub as it seems like it might
be fragile, so I'm wondering what's the best way to clean it?
I wondered if the broken section was cracked in prehistoric times or more recently

This exploration delves into the fascinating interplay betweena profound philosophical concept and a notoriously tabloid approach to news. We'll unpack the 'Lucky Blue Dot' concept, examining its philosophical implications, and how a publicationliketheNationalEnquirer might reinterpret it for its readers.

Rolex Is on a Mission to Protect Our Pale Blue Dot
Oceanwise
Australia Director Ben Fitzpatrick conducts the first scientific survey
of these particular reefs in Exmouth Gulf by using a diver operated
stereo-video (stereo-DOV) system.
Keeping the planet blue is Rolex Testimonee Sylvia Earle’s
lifelong mission and effort. The Asia-Pacific region is her next focus.
Even before the United Nations set out its goals for sustainable
development, Sylvia Earle had been pondering the challenges facing ocean
conservation. Even with infinite resources, localised knowledge of
marine life and local culture would be critical to ensure conservation
success. This is why the Rolex Testimonee’s organisation, Mission Blue,
is focused on helping local partners achieve their goals.
The Climate Revolution podcast episode 6: ‘Introducing: The Blue Dot Flag’
A flag for the Earth– and for everyone who strives to protect her.
The Blue Dot flag
In this podcast interview graphic designer Tijs Bonekamp explains why
he believes a flag for the Earth could become a very powerful way to
connect people who share the same sentiment: that we need to do better
in how we protect the planet and all life on it. Tijs designed
the Blue Dot flag in 2019 and now distributes it to hundreds of
individuals around the world through his website and the Blue Dot
Foundation.
“This flag is not about us. The Blue
Dot is about the planet and its nature. This Blue Dot aims to solidify
our universal awareness and care for the Earth and its beautiful nature.
Its purity hopefully mirrors the essence of this complex and vast story
we are stuck in.”
Tijs Bonekamp, founder of Blue Dot Flag Foundation
The "official" blue dot is 2-5/8" in diameter. According to the experts,
it originally was popularized in Europe, then imported by American
psychics who believe that positive spiritual energy is channeled into
the blue dot, and that people need only to rub it to release the energy
(but what about
the ink on your fingers?).
Supposedly, since that Enquirer story appeared 13 years ago, the blue
dot has become one of the top good luck charms used by casino gamblers,
as well as those who play the lottery and bet at the track.

Use the Blue Dot For Good Fortune
Do You believe that you can get good fortune if you Believe?
Read the articles about the Lucky Blue Dot.
Blue Dot shelters provide a safe space for families and children on
the move in emergencies. For those who have travelled for hours and
more, these Blue Dot zones will provide much-needed respite and access
to essential services.
These hubs connect with each other to help trace and reunite
separated families. We also look out for children who arrive alone so
that we can protect them.
The
other day I was cleaning out my junk drawers. I’ve been on a mission to
get rid of stuff. Especially the stuff that hasn’t seen daylight in a
hundred years. I came across a 3" x 5" folded piece of paper that looked
like an article from a magazine. I didn’t want to toss it in the trash.
It could have been a recipe I’d been saving for a special Occasion.
I
unfolded the piece of paper. It was a page that had been torn from the
National Enquirer. I saw a sponsored advertisement in which the headline
read, “The Future of Weight Loss”. It was an introduction to a new
product, Hydroxy Black. On the same page was another advertisement
enticing the reader to buy 60 carats of genuine emeralds and Ethiopian
opals for only $99.
I know I didn’t save the article for the ads.
I
flipped the article over, and my eyes quickly scanned the page looking
for a recipe. There was none. I noticed that the bottom half of the page
was dedicated to Letter of the Week, sponsored by Voice of America. The
letter of the week was sent in by a woman named Edna, from
Massachusetts. She was expressing her opinion about Angelina Jolie. She
wrote that Jolie is a coldhearted bitch and that she’s not fit to be a
mother. The writer was clearly on Brad Pitt’s side regarding custody and
divorce.
There was also a comic in which Bill Cosby was the butt of the joke.
The
only logical reason I must have saved the article is because of the
Blue Dot. I don’t recall saving the article or reading it. So, I caught
myself up to speed.
The
Blue Dot is famous. Sort of. As of the date of the article, which was
printed May 22, 2017, the National Enquirer’s famed blue dot had been
making an appearance in the newspaper for over 30 years.
What is the Blue Dot?
The
Blue Dot is a circle that has been infused with psychic energy by a
renowned psychic. The purpose of the psychically charged blue dot is to
bring you luck. It’s meant to be cut out of the magazine to carry in
your wallet or purse.
Many
people claim that the blue dot has helped them win money. Some have
rubbed the blue dot on slot machines and have won large jackpots. Others
have claimed to have won TV’s, luxury vacations, home renovations,
cars, and lotteries.
So, does the blue dot really have power?
Probably not.
But one’s faith in the blue dot does have power. It’s all about how strongly you believe in something. Our thoughts create our reality.
I tore this out to carry in my wallet, but I somehow forgot about its existence.
I’m
putting it in my wallet today. But before I do, I’m going to rub it on
my vintage postcards that I sell on eBay. What’s the harm? I just might
attract more customers and sales.
I believe in the magic.
